The top border and banners, loosely translated from German to English, read 'Lustig Fass Mich - Lustig Lass Mich', which means 'Funny Grab Me - Funny Let Me Go'. The sides of the stein are adorned with the words 'Fuellen und Leeren - Nimmer Entbehren', which means 'Filled then emptied but never deprived'. The stein measures approximately 9" tall, 3 1/4" in diameter at the bottom, 2 3/4" at the mouth, and 6" wide from side to handle. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks, and only slight crazing inside. The metal (Pewter) lid features a hinge and a thumb piece.
